Wedding Photo Booth Guide for South Florida Couples

How to plan a wedding photo booth in Miami, Fort Lauderdale or Palm Beach: choosing a booth, timing, space, outdoor weddings, templates and guest-book ideas.

Your photographer captures the big moments: the vows, the first dance, the cake. The photo booth captures everything in between: grandparents in feather boas, the college friends reunion, the dance floor at its peak. Here’s how to plan a wedding photo booth that fits your day.

Step 1: Choose the right booth

Print booth. The classic choice for weddings. Guests get unlimited instant prints on a template designed around your wedding, and you get a keepsake for every guest. See print booth packages →

360 video booth. Guests step onto a platform while a camera circles them, creating slow-motion videos with music and your custom overlay. It’s a showstopper once the dance floor opens. See 360 booth packages →

Both. Many couples run the print booth during cocktail hour and dinner, then add the 360 booth for the reception. Combining booths gets you better pricing. Not sure? Read our 360 vs. print booth comparison.

Step 2: Decide how many hours you need

Most weddings book three or four hours of booth time. A few guidelines:

  • Bigger guest list, more hours. With a large guest list, four hours keeps lines short.
  • Cover the reception, not the ceremony. The booth is busiest from cocktail hour through the last dance.
  • Consider when people leave. If older guests leave early, open the booth during cocktail hour so they get a turn.

Step 3: Design a template that matches your wedding

A personalized template (included with Gold and Platinum print packages) turns every strip into a keepsake. Send us your:

  • Names and wedding date
  • Monogram or logo, if you have one
  • Invitation suite or color palette

We’ll design a 2×6 strip or 4×6 photo layout to match. For the 360 booth, we’ll create a video overlay with the same details.

Step 4: Pick your backdrop and props

Your backdrop shows up in every photo, so choose one that complements your décor: gold or silver sequins, a greenery wall, or something to match your theme. For props, a few elegant signs (“Just Married,” “Team Bride,” “Team Groom”) and classic accessories photograph better than a huge pile of novelty items.

Step 5: Turn the booth into your guest book

This is one of our favorite wedding ideas. Print a second copy of every strip, add it to an album, and ask guests to write a message next to their photo. You end up with a guest book full of faces as well as signatures.

Step 6: Plan the space

Work with your venue or planner to save a spot:

  • Print or digital booth: roughly 8 × 8 ft
  • 360 video booth: roughly 10 × 10 ft
  • Power: a standard outlet nearby

Put the booth close to the dance floor or bar, where guests naturally gather, but not so close that it blocks traffic.

Step 7: Plan for South Florida weather

Outdoor weddings on the water, in a garden or on the beach are part of what makes South Florida special. The booth needs level ground and cover from sun and rain, so plan a tented or covered spot, and always have an indoor backup. Afternoon storms can roll in quickly, and we’ll plan the backup location with you in advance.

Step 8: Share the timeline

Send us your reception timeline (entrances, toasts, first dance, cake cutting). Our attendant will make sure the booth is ready before guests arrive and keep things moving around the big moments.

Step 9: Book early

Saturdays during the spring and fall wedding seasons fill up months ahead. Booking 60 or more days out locks in your date and saves 10%.
